so, sbm orientation 2006 ended on thursday. haha i shall not talk about the games played cos orientation games are pretty boring, except for the sports games soccer, rugby and captain's ball which were still quite alright.
hmm i guess the whole experience of being an ogl was probably the most enjoyable part of all. i mean, we've gone through so much just for this orientation. leadership training camp and ogl camp. friendships were made and bonds among the ogls were strengthen. it was really fun working with all the ogls for this orientation.
for me, taking on this leadership role was quite enriching, to actually lead a big grp of ppl. much as i wanted to be the ogl of my own juniors, i realised that i learned alot from ppl of other courses as well. true that AF0602 and the other accounting & finance classes were pretty dead in the sense that they weren't as hyper as the sports & wellness students for example, but after they warmed up it was quite okay. it was a hard time getting them to even talk initially. however on the second day there was much improvement and somehow it was heartwarming to see them getting acquainted with one another. even the disagreements and the slight arguments during discussions were good signs.
AF0602 is a fun and nice class. i'm sure they'll do juz fine. and through them, i see a bigger picture of the world out there, although it's juz a case of different courses in this case. that's why it's always nice to meet people from all walks of life, it opens up ur mind. i see people who are different from me and my classmates or coursemates for that matter.
after the orientation, i smsed those who went on the second day to thank them and also wish them all the best in their poly life ahead and if they need any help can always approach me or clorine. received some replies, of cos not all will reply. haha. was quite surprised by valarie's reply. "hey. you and clorine made the whole orientation so much more fun. hee. thanks for that. all the best to ya too. =)" haha and to think that i thought she looked damn sian throughout the whole orientation. thanks to those who replied to my sms too, lynda, songzhi, chean fatt, chris. ok i realised not many replied. haha.
anyway, thanks to clorine too. for being such a great partner. had lotsa fun, especially when we were disturbing our MS juniors. haha. guess we really felt accomplished that we had a job well done in the end.
that's all for orientation. gonna miss it =)
p.s. my dear friend miss tan yi fang a.k.a. fangfang a.k.a. dumbdumb wants to be mentioned in this blog entry. so here ya go! heh =P
